Why we have a usage requirement

Use it or lose it!

Our 087x Free account has the following restrictions:

You must receive a fax...

• Within the first 7 days of gettting the number
• Every 90 days after that

So long as you keep to these usage requirements, the number is yours and we won't charge you a penny for it. However, if you do not meet these requirements, you will automatically lose the number.

We'll send you plenty of reminders beforehand, but if the number lapses we will probably not be able to get it back for you again as this service is in high demand.

So why do we do this?

We like being able to offer a free account. However, we have found that many people sign up for numbers and never use them. We do not have an infinite amount of fax numbers, so this 'number squatting' can deny a legitimate user access. It also means we make no call revenue, so it is not a viable business model.

We believe that a single fax every 3 months is very fair. However, we do make the following recommendation:

If you are a business, or wish to publish your faxtastic! number in any way, such as on stationery, get a 'paid for' number. We are not responsible if you lose a number you have placed on printed stationery.

These restrictions only apply to the 087x Free package. All other packages have no usage requirement and are therefore much more suited for business use.
